As the Eastern Regional Sales Manager (USA) for Lumileds North American Automotive Aftermarket, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, managing and achieving the revenue growth objectives for your geographic area of responsibility. At the direction of the U.S. National Sales Manager, you will ensure that all activities support the Lumileds North American Aftermarket strategy. Travel as required, up to 60%, to prospect and/or follow up on customer development and/or acquisition as necessary.
The Eastern Regional Sales Manager is responsible for selling and promoting aftermarket automotive lighting products via key accounts and channels in the following states; Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Delaware, Vermont and Maine .
Responsibilities may include:
Lead and manage customer headquarter relationships and strategy.
Develop, lead and implement business strategy to secure short and long-term business with the targeted aftermarket accounts in a specified geography and/or channel.
Develop and implement Lumileds aftermarket business plans and manage customer and regional sales forecasts.
Effectively develop and deliver presentations to customers and prospects (all levels up to executive) on Lumileds’ products and capabilities.
Collaborates with Lumileds marketing team on the development and implementation of programs and promotions to increase revenue.
Responsible to develop the annual operating plan (AOP), sales forecasts and budgets for the assigned geographic area of responsibility.
Lead and manage independent sales representatives to exceed both customer and Lumileds expectations.
Ensure that representatives are fully trained and armed with Lumileds knowledge and selling material. Be able to clearly communicate Lumileds’ strategy and expectations and develop plans to exceed annual revenue goals.
Lead all launch tasks for newly acquired customers as the project manager. This includes ensuring customer and internal requirements are met through to successful project completion to ensure customer delight.
Prompt response to customer concerns and questions regarding Lumileds processes, products and systems.
Recommend market specific product strategies in line with Lumileds’ North American business plan via the product management team.
Serve as the main bridge and leader between customer and the Lumileds finance organization related to customer payables (vendor compliance, contract payment terms, deductions, etc.).

The ideal candidate for the Eastern Regional Sales Manager role is someone with strong customer relationships, the demonstrated ability to develop customer “intimacy” throughout their organization, displays initiative and balances the needs of the customer with their responsibilities as an employee of Lumileds.

Ideal candidate is located in one of these metropolitan markets; Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh, Orlando, Tampa or Northern Virginia.
5 – 10 years sales and account management experience in the automotive aftermarket. Multi-channel experience is a plus (retail, warehouse distributor, commercial vehicle/heavy duty, performance).
Broad understanding of automotive aftermarket sales channels, both nationally and in specific geographic regions.
Must have demonstrated coaching and collaboration skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidate is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in business, sales or marketing preferred.
Proven ability to work effectively remotely from a home office.
Telecommuting is allowed.
