Performs described quality activities throughout the manufacturing plant and/or supplier facilities as necessary on a daily basis. Communicates quality requirements to plant personnel as well as suppliers. Ensures that the organization provides quality products and services as well as assuring continuous improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with manufacturing facility to ensure tooling meets necessary quality requirements.
Collaborate with manufacturing facility to ensure manufacturing processes meet or exceed quality requirements.
Work with customer specifications to determine product requirements and develop required test plans.
Manage projects appropriately to maintain company goals and requirements.
Develop necessary instructions throughout the manufacturing process.
Represent production in the APQP process.
Develop production PPAP documents.
Lead efforts to improve supplier quality through process and system audits in accordance with the guidelines of ISO9001.
Education and/or Experience -
Four year degree, university program certificate, or industry certificate; working knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 and or ISO 9001:2018; 5 - 10 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in APQP process. Experience with lean manufacturing a plus.
