APG’s President of Private Brands will have comprehensive P&L responsibility for the growth and operation of the business including strategy, product development, engineering, marketing, sales, fabrication, assembly, and supply chain. The company has a strong team of dedicated professionals with deep expertise in its markets and products. We are seeking a leader with the vision to capitalize on market opportunities and the roll-up-your-sleeves style to get the work done. In this role, the President will provide the experience, vision, and leadership needed to drive sales and profitability growth in the core sports compact market while expanding into other automotive segments across APG such as light truck and Jeep with engineered performance products. This position will report to the CEO of APG and will have a high degree of board visibility and interaction. The position will be located in either Minneapolis, MN or Salt Lake City, UT with frequent travel to the other location.
Where you will spend your time:
Strategic leadership of the private brands to team to achieve P&L objectives. Develop strategies, execution plans, budgets, and key metrics to drive growth in top line sales and profitability.
Lead product development, marketing, product management, and sales. Identify opportunities to expand the addressable market, develop plans, and lead execution.
Work across APG business units to grow and maximize performance of private brand portfolio. Align investments and capacity with end-consumer trends, respond to market needs, and expand businesses into new segments where the company can achieve strong earnings.
Coordinate enterprise wide prioritization and management of engineering resources.
Leverage experience and knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication best practices to develop exceptional products for our customers in a safe, high quality, and cost-effective manner.
Utilize business analytics, KPIs, and scorecards to drive continuous progress toward best in class performance across all the functional areas. Lead by example to drive a culture of continuous improvement. Develop high-performance team.
The President of Private Brands is a hands-on executive responsible for everything from visionary strategy and detailed execution including all things in between.
